How To Remove Negativity From Your Life

April 9, 2018

This blog post has been a tough one, I feel as if I am being a total hypocrite so writing this down is tough however I will be writing this blog post for you and me to get to rid of negativity we don’t need in our lives. Lately, I have been in such a mental funk and negativity has ruled my life; professionally and in my private life. I am over it right now. I have done a lot of thinking on how I can remove everything I don’t like in my life, and from my research. Today I decided to share some ways to remove this negativity with you which I will be actively doing to make myself and my life more positive.

HOW TO REMOVE NEGATIVITY FROM MY LIFE???

Make it your #1 priority

This is something I have found difficulty in making a priority, I have been so consumed in the negative things in my life instead of focusing on the things that make me happy. its similar to saying this is what I want to do but I’m not really committed to doing it. Recently on my blog, I have made it one of my goals to start a bullet journal which I never got around. As I tried to create this new mental life I decided to start my journal by asking these simple questions

1. Why do I want to do this?
2. What makes this journey so important to me?
3. Why is eliminating negativity important to me?
4. What will I gain from this?
5. How will it get me a step closer to my goals (short term or long term)?

Stop complaining and do something about it

What you put out there is what you get in return, so being mindful of the energy you put out and the energy you are letting into your life. Simple saying Energy is Contagious. I don’t know about you but I sometimes play the “My life sucks and its getting worse because….” card which I was the state I was playing for the past few months but I didn’t really get anywhere in my life but all I did was complain and fed my own ego by not admitting my wrong in my life.

For example, I have been struggling with my weight ( you have probably seen it on my blog before) but after writing on the most honest pieces of writing (My Ugly Truth: Healthy Living). I realized I was ruining and making myself feel worse and waiting for that magical “thin” fairy to zap my weight away….(SIDE NOTE: She doesn’t exist)

But that is where hope comes into my play and we just hoping one day everything we have ever wanted is going to come, but you know things don’t happen if you don’t take action. Taking action isn’t the easiest thing but when you stuck in this negative vibe because nothing is happening. but truth be told nothing will happen if you don’t do something about it.

Be Careful who you let into your tribe

you are the company you keep, Its taken me a really long time to detox my inner circle from people that have made it be quite a challenge. Your energy is super contagious and it will infect everyone in your sight. but if you want a negative free life you need to remove those people that are all about negative and pity parties. Saying that you need to stop the pity parties too. This is when you need to make yourself responsible for your life and how it turns out.

Set Healthy Boundaries

this is going to be the hardest step you will have to take. I don’t know about you but its easier to give someone advice than to take your own advice. but setting boundaries is properly the most important when trying to isolate the negativity. Let’s be honest without boundaries we will be letting people that want to let go.

Whats your plan of action

I wrote down my POA this weekend and it got really real for me, but one thing you need to remember this will not happen overnight so you need to define the steps that you will be taking to get you to the end goal. Give yourself time.

Here is my suggestion; Create your own self-care routine (start off slow and grow from there). Some ideas may include Exercise, walks on the beach, ME TIME, read and dance like nobody is watching.

Fill your life with love and joy and positive

Schedule some time to do the things you love, like a fun activity and self-care time in your life. I personally love spending time with my boys (Baxter and Rusty), my family or my friends. Love this is a time when we create a new space that can be filled with good things.

But, just because you are trying to reject the negativity from your life does not mine that everything is horrible. so write down everything that is positive and happening in your life to. Once you start taking this good space seriously things will happen and your energy will change.

I would like to end off by saying Take care of yourself (your body, your mind, and your soul). Start to become more self-aware of your surroundings and your feelings. Acknowledge your responsibility for your life. STOP the pity party and have a happy dance part instead,
